How to make a DIY ottoman.

Ottomans are a great way to add extra seating to a room without taking up a lot of space. They can also be used as a coffee table or footrest. If you’re looking for a creative way to add an ottoman to your home, try making your own! To make a DIY ottoman, you’ll need:
  • A sturdy piece of furniture to use as the base. An old coffee table or end table works well.
  • A piece of plywood or MDF that is the same size as the top of your base.
  • High density foam. You can find this at most fabric stores.
  • A piece of fabric large enough to wrap around the foam and base.
  • Staple gun and staples
  • Legs for your ottoman. These can be found at most home improvement stores.
First, attach the legs to the base of your chosen piece of furniture. Then, cut the foam to fit the top of the base, and wrap it in the fabric. Staple the fabric in place, making sure to pull it tight so there are no wrinkles. Next, attach the plywood or MDF to the top of the foam using the staple gun. Trim any excess fabric from around the edges. Now your ottoman is complete! #diy #ottoman
