How to make a simple DIY desk.

If you're looking for a simple, stylish desk that you can make yourself, look no further than this DIY desk tutorial. This desk is made from a single sheet of plywood, and can be easily customized to fit your space and needs. To make this desk, you'll need:
  • One sheet of plywood, at least 4'x8'
  • A saw (a jigsaw or circular saw will work)
  • A drill
  • A drill bit for making pilot holes
  • 1" wood screws
  • A measuring tape or ruler
  • A pencil
  • A level
  • Optional: sandpaper, wood stain or paint, polyurethane
First, use your saw to cut the plywood into two pieces: a 4'x4' square for the desktop, and a 2'x4' rectangle for the legs. If you want to round the edges of the desktop, now is the time to do it. Next, drill four pilot holes in each leg piece, spaced evenly. These will be for the screws that will attach the legs to the desktop. Then, attach the legs to the underside of the desktop using the 1" wood screws. Be sure to use your level to make sure the desk is even before screwing everything in place. Now your desk is assembled! If you want, you can finish it by sanding down any rough edges, staining or painting it, and adding a layer of polyurethane to protect the surface. #desk #build
