What to Do if Your Smartphone Gets Wet.

If you drop your smartphone in water, it’s important to act fast. The faster you act, the better the chance your phone has of surviving the incident unscathed. If you have a phone with a removable battery, take the battery out as soon as possible. Leaving the battery in could short circuit your phone. Once the battery is out, dry off your phone as much as possible and then place it in a bowl of rice. The rice will help to absorb any moisture that’s still inside your phone. If you have a phone with a non removable battery, do your best to dry it off and then place it in a bowl of rice. Again, the rice will help to absorb any moisture that’s still inside your phone. Once you’ve done all you can, it’s time to hope for the best. In many cases, phones that have been submerged in water will start working again once they’ve had a chance to dry out completely. However, there’s always a chance that your phone won’t recover. If that’s the case, you’ll need to buy a new one.
