It’s no secret that cold weather can make it tough to get out and exercise. But there are plenty of great indoor cardio workouts that can help you stay fit all winter long.
Here are six of our favorites:
1. Treadmill Intervals: Treadmill workouts are a great way to get your heart rate up without having to brave the cold. And by adding in some speed intervals, you can really give your cardio a boost.
2. Jump Rope: Jumping rope is a great calorie-burning workout, and it’s also a lot of fun. If you don’t have a rope, you can even use a piece of clothesline or an old shoelace.
3. Stair Climber: If you have access to a stair climber machine, take advantage of it! Stair climbing is a great cardio workout, and it’s low impact so it’s easy on your joints.
4. Elliptical: The elliptical is another great option for a low-impact cardio workout. It’s easy on your joints and you can adjust the intensity to make it as challenging as you want.
5. Spin Class: Spin class is a great way to get in a high-intensity cardio workout without having to go outside in the cold. And bonus, it’s usually pretty fun, too!
6. Swimming: Swimming is an excellent form of cardio exercise, and it’s also great for your muscles and joints. If you don’t have access to a pool, you can try a water aerobics class at your local gym.
